First Question for A Clinical Programmer Is — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — →Which Therapeutic Areas Did You Worked ?

Short answer is Cardiology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, Metabolism And Endocrinology, Neuroscience, Oncology, Respiratory Etc.

I will give a range of therapeutic areas examples but mostly will emphasize on Cell and Gene.

CELL & GENE THERAPY

A. CELL THERAPY : Cell therapy aims to treat diseases by restoring or altering certain sets of cells or by using cells to carry a therapy through the body. With cell therapy, cells are cultivated or modified outside the body before being injected into the patient. The cells may originate from the patient (autologous cells) or a donor (allogeneic cells). Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), autoimmune disease like MS.
Examples of Cellular Therapy:
1. Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel) : Kymriah is a CD19-directed CAR-T therapy used for the treatment of specific leukemias and lymphomas
2. Yescarta (axicabtagene ciloleucel) : Yescarta is a CD19-directed CAR-T therapy used for the treatment of specific B-cell lymphomas

B. GENE THERAPY: Gene therapy aims to treat diseases by replacing, inactivating or introducing genes into cells -either inside the body (in-vivo) or outside of the body (ex-vivo).
Examples of Gene Therapy
1. Zolgensma (onasemnogene abeparvovec-xioi): Zolgensma is recombinant AAV9-based gene therapy designed to deliver a copy of the gene encoding the human survival motor neuron (SMN) protein for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) that is administered via IV infusion.
2. Luxturna (voretigene neparvovec-rzyl): Luxturna is an AAV gene therapy for subretinal injection. Luxturna delivers a normal gene encoding the human retinal pigment epithelial 65 kDa protein (RPE65) to cells of the retina in persons with reduced or absent levels of biologically active RPE65.
3. Misfolding proteins bring caution for gene therapies for haemophilia
4. In-vivo gene editing using a system called CRISPR for treating sickle cell disease and a closely related disorder, called beta thalassemia
